3 DAYS SEMILIKI NATIONAL PARK WILDLIFE TRIP
Brief Overview:
This trip takes you to a unique Semiliki valley National Park (Bundibugyo district) that covers 220 sq km of the valley floor and harbors some intriguing wildlife of 52 species of mammals, 300 recorded tree species, 374 butterfly species and with over 400 bird species making it one of the top spots for birding in Uganda. The park is most famous for its two hot springs in a hot mineral encrusted swamp. The Semliki River attracts Exotic animals such as flying squirrels, red-tailed monkeys, pygmy antelope and reptiles. The park is home to 8 species of primates like chimpanzees, Vervet and red-tailed monkey, the beautiful black-and-white colobus and olive baboon, Elephant, waterbuck, buffalo, leopard, civet and bush baby. Other mammals include Uganda Kob, lions, Leopards, hyenas are around, but are rarely seen; it is much more common to hear them at night. Giant forest hog can sometimes be spotted as well.
Detailed safari Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Semiliki- Night game drive
After an early breakfast, you will be picked up by a driver from Kofi Travel Safaris ,drive to Semiliki National Park for approximately 7 to 8 hours. Have lunch en-route along the way and on arrival; check in at the lodge as you prepare for a night game drive through the park. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 2: Game drive, visit the Sempaya hot springs, wildlife viewing and cultural encounter
After breakfast, go for a morning game drive searching for more wildlife including leopards, big cats, buffaloes, antelopes, elephants, and lions among others. Also crocodiles and Hippos will be seen along River Semliki.
Return to the lodge for lunch Visit the Sempaya hot springs (the largest hot spring in Uganda) in a hot mineral encrusted swamp where the water is hot enough to cook eggs and plantain. The springs also attract a large number of shorebirds and they are a source of salt for many animals such as the red tailed monkeys, and the grey cheeked mangabey. There is also an opportunity of seeing/trekking chimpanzees but in this park they can be trekked either in the morning or evening because during the day they tend to hide. Visit the Ntandi Pygmy Village to see the lifestyles of Bushmen. You can also see handmade crafts that they have produced and you can participate in a dance with these people.
Return to the lodge for dinner and Overnight.

Day 3: Depart to Kampala
After breakfast, start your journey to Kampala with a stopover in Fort portal for lunch. Proceed to Kampala / Entebbe for your departure.
